angle (green & black)
This multipart mirror work using panels was inspired by the American minimalist painter Ellsworth Kelly (1923 - 2015). The arrangement of the three units in the main image directly references his classic series of fourteen
paintings from 1971.
The polished edged mirror is mounted on oak wood and is complemented with two monochrome square panels in green and black oil paint. All the panels have split battens on the reverse so they are easy to install and sit flush to the wall. The units can also be re-arranged as desired - an
alternative composition is shown opposite.
The mirrored panel is exactly three times the length of one square panel. It has an extra split batten on one of the short side enabling it to hang in either a landscape or portrait formats.
This particular mirror is unique. However this design is ideal as a basis for bespoke commissions as it can be made for display in a specific location. Bespoke versions
can be constructed to custom sizes, proportions, colours and number of units. Please use the button below for any enquiries.
Each part of this mirror is stamped and signed on the reverse.
