frame I (after Mangold)

Picture
Picture
This is a unique art inspired mirror which references the American contemporary abstract artist Robert Mangold - specifically his 'Frame' paintings from 1983/85.

The asymmetric frame is constructed in poplar wood and board. It has been hand painted in four colours using artists acrylic. The bronze tinted mirror with polished edges sits within the frame.

This mirror is signed, dated and stamped on the reverse.
The frame has been fitted with an integral split batten for easy, flush wall mounting.
