This unique mirror was inspired by the plant drawings of the American artist Ellsworth Kelly (1923 – 2015). The frame was handmade in walnut with painted wood inserts and it has four original pencil drawings in the top section. The drawings are free transcriptions, based on Kelly’s work, on coloured Fabriano acid-free paper. Each drawing has its own small box frame using museum grade glass and green spacers made from 100% cotton rag card. These measures are to prevent the glass from touching the paper thus ensuring the drawings will not be damaged over time
The stripes on the top and bottom panel are painted by hand using colours from Farrow and Ball.
