quadrant mirror no.1

Hand finished square mirror with geometric orange and blue panels
Square statement wall mirror with painted geometric panels in orange and blue
The Quadrants are series of mirrors inspired by the artist and designer Max Bill (1908 - 1994) who studied at the Bauhaus under Klee and Kandinsky. This is Quadrant No.1.

Each one consists of a 4mm mirrored glass panel with polished edges. The mirror is mounted in a hand finished, natural, American white oak frame with a minimal 5mm face. Each mirror is complimented by four hand painted panels in artist's acrylic.

For Quadrant No.1 we used the same two colours as the original Bill painting - a vivid blue and orange, with a simple division on two of the triangles. The pattern and colours will vary with each future mirror and they will be unique to that particular piece.

The reverse of the frame has split battens on all four sides for easy wall mounting. It can also be removed and rotated as desired.
The square format allows the mirror to be displayed in either a square or diagonal orientation. The Quadrant Mirrors offer a striking, original focal point to a room. They can also be custom made in different sizes and colours. Use the button below for more information.

This mirror is stamped, numbered and signed on the reverse.
