quadrant mirror no.3
The third of our ongoing series of unique mirrors, all in a square format.
These designs are inspired by the influential Bauhaus trained artist and designer Max Bill (1908 - 1994). The series is called
Each of these items consists of a 4mm mirrored glass panel with polished edges.
This is mounted in a hand finished, natural, American white oak frame with a minimal 5mm face. The mirror is complimented by four hand painted panels in artist's acrylic.
utilises five colours, black, yellow, red, blue and green. Here the black is used to create a second square within the frame. The colours are reminiscent of the Dutch
movement founded in 1917.
The pattern and colours vary with each individual mirror and are unique to each particular piece. Every frame has split battens on all four sides so it can be easily wall mounted, removed and rotated if you wish. The square format also allows the mirror to be displayed in a square or diagonal orientation.
The mirrors shown here are made to a standard size and are backed with 3mm MDF. Each one is stamped, numbered and signed on the reverse. Should you require a mirror to a different size, colours or design we would be happy to make one.
