quadrant mirror no.3

The Quadrants are series of mirrors inspired by the artist and designer Max Bill (1908 - 1994) who studied at the Bauhaus under Klee and Kandinsky. This is Quadrant No.3.

Each one consists of a 4mm mirrored glass panel with polished edges. This is mounted in a hand finished, natural, American white oak frame with a minimal 5mm face. Each mirror is complimented by four hand painted panels in artist's acrylic.

For Quadrant No.3 we used four colours around a black square. These colours and the divisions are evocative of the De Stijl art movement from the early twentieth century.
The patterns and colours vary with each individual mirror and are unique to that particular piece. 



The frame back has split battens on all four sides for easy wall mounting. It can also be removed and rotated as desired.
The square format allows the mirror to be displayed in a square or diagonal orientation. The Quadrant Mirrors offer a striking, original focal point to a room. They can also be custom made - use the button below for more information.

This mirror is stamped, numbered and signed on the reverse.
