This is a study for a proposed Modular Mirror in eleven parts. It is inspired by the 1952 painting Kite II by Ellsworth Kelly now in the collection of the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
The composition is based on a sequence of squares and both the colours used in this study and their arrangement follow the source painting. When constructed as a modular mirror this work would be quite large.
This mirror work would make a striking unique piece, perhaps for the lobby area of a building. The colours and proportions can be varied from this initial study and the work can be executed using a variety of materials.
This work, or a variant, can be commissioned. Contact us for details using the button below.
