thira

This unique hand finished triple mirror with a shelf has been constructed in solid beech wood and walnut with hand painted post and lintel strip facings. It is named after its inspiration, a painting titled Thira by the American artist Brice Marden (b.1938) which is in the collection of the Centre Pompidou, Paris.

Along with our other shelf variations this mirror was conceived to display small ceramics, objects, sculptures and candles.

Thira consists of three joined units with a single slim shelf at the base. Three strips of wood were joined together to make the shelf; two in beech and one in walnut. The three frames and shelf have contrasting walnut plugs on all visible corners.

The colours used on the twelve facing strips are all from the range by Farrow & Ball. This triple mirror is fitted with integral split battens on the first and third sections for easy, secure, wobble free hanging.
