Mirrors with facing strips - this is a very fluid design concept with an unlimited range of options.
The colour mirrors have solid oak and ash wood frames with hand painted strips on the face. The strips are usually configured in a post and lintel format, historically these derive from ancient Greek architecture. This format has been used by artists Brice Marden and Imi Knoebel in many of their works. A new variation are the N Mirrors, these use narrower strips and the two featured ones are in a spiral formation. The thin strips reference the work of Donald Judd.
The small colour mirrors are designed to hang either individually or in sets - they can also be arranged in various configurations and changed when desired. These designs lend themselves to an infinite number of possibilities - you may choose the size, wood, colours and so on, in order to suit your own requirements and decor. We are currently working on new variations using this design utilising natural and tinted wood strips and we now have a version in metal and beech wood, shown above.
